floral mixed media workshops

Two sessions - session 2 builds on skills of session 1

Tuesday 13th October and Tuesday 3rd November 7-9pm

In these workshops you will discover how to use a mix of materials to create your own floral outcomes. We will be using acrylic paint, pastels, drawing tools and collage to experiment with how to create the rich feel of flowers. There are two sessions so that we can build on skills and allow some practice in between if you want to - although it is not required.

If you feel nervous about whether you will fit in, whether you will be out of your comfort zone I urge you to give it a go at the studio. I feel passionately about creativity being for everyone and this class is a very open opportunity to play with mixed media to explore varied ways of making.

Art classes often focus on the outcome and this is not the case as this can create pressure - a feeling of comparison and 'good enough' or not. So much of creating art is being open to seeing what happens and this is what the aim is for this class. You will likely come away with some pieces that have taught you something -you may feel you have a finished piece or you may feel you have some pieces which you may add to beyond the session.
